Peter, our friend from high school, joined us on October 10. I can't believe it's already been over a week since he landed in Chiang Mai. We played on the same soccer team in high school, so it's been fun playing footy (not to be mistaken with footsie) with him again.
Peter will be working with us in launching Stone in Shoe. We actually worked as interns for Buddy back in '09, so it's like "we're putting the band back together." He will be in Chiang Mai for at least seven months, and he's living with us in our house while he is here.
It's been great to have this guy in Chiang Mai. I've never really worked on houses before, because I've only lived in apartments. Peter, on the other hand, has plenty of experience and has been a huge help as we work on our new home. He's helped us with painting walls, putting up shelves and setting up our media/living room (still in its infancy). We are definitely getting more and more settled here, and I love having Peter in our Chiang Mai home.
In kitten news, Simba died. He was too skinny and weak. Nala, our other kitten, is still kicking. Hard. That girl kitten is an insane one. When we feed her, only her natural instincts kick in. She goes psycho like a vulture vying for the best spot to pick at its victim. She's cute, though, so we look past her craziness.
